It’s fascinating to think that one random decision has the potential for such a big impact on our lives. And I’m sure that Rachel and Rob agree, given how they first met. On that fateful night, each of them had made plans with friends to stop in at Coogan’s for some pre-game cocktails, before heading off to their final destinations. That’s when Rachel first saw Rob - having a blast just tearing it up on the dance floor with his friends. Rachel decided to join them, and that’s when their connection was made.
The first time we hung out with Rachel and Rob was during their engagement session in the Boston Public Garden. We had already rescheduled once before due to weather, and it barely held out for us the second time. The chemistry between them was evident right away, and helped to create an amazing backdrop for some really intimate photos. To mix things up a bit, we incorporated a bright red umbrella into some of the photos – and it ended up being one of our most favorite shots! We could have spent the entire day photographing these two…
Fast forward to their wedding day: the weather was bright and clear, without a cloud in the sky. Both the ceremony and reception were at the Renaissance Country Club in Haverhill, MA. Rachel and Rob decided to do a First Glance – a beautifully intimate moment during which they see each other for the first time. We highly recommend this, as it allows for more romantic photography and it’s less stressful for the bride and groom. Capturing this special moment for Rachel and Rob also allowed us to capture all their formals before the ceremony, so that everyone could relax and enjoy the cocktail hour immediately afterwards.
The ballroom was beautifully set, and ready for a fun evening. Many thanks to Matt Orlando for the gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces, and Mike Paganelli of C-Zone Entertainment for the great music. Guests spent the rest of the night dancing, mingling and getting silly in our photo booth. And Rachel and Rob spent the rest of the evening on the dance floor, which seems perfectly fitting since that’s where they found each other in the first place. J
