Meghan and Mike's Wedding July 11, 2014

The first time we photographed Meghan and Mike was for their Engagement Session in Chatham last summer. Meghan’s family has a Cape house not too far from there, so it was the ideal location for a summer shoot! We spent the afternoon at the beach and had a blast! Meghan and Mike were enthusiastic about incorporating a lot of fun, creative shots and their dog Finn even got in on the action!

One of the biggest things that became evident to us as we started working with Meghan and Mike was how family oriented they both are. This might be expected given that they each come from large families, but it really has a big impact on their lives.  They were introduced by Meghan’s cousin Joyce, and they were surrounded by friends on their first date. Years later, it was Mike’s sisters who enlisted Meghan’s help getting him out of the house so they could decorate for his birthday, only to her surprise, they were actually decorating the house for his proposal! :-)

They were originally planning on having their reception at the Lakeview Pavilion in Foxboro, so naturally we were heartbroken when we learned that it had burned down in early April.  After weeks of scrambling to make alternate plans, they were able to find another great location, the Omni Parker House in Boston.  The hotel itself is steeped in history, yet its character is ageless.  It turned out to be the perfect backdrop for their wedding!

Their ceremony was at the Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth, and then we all headed into Boston for pictures before the reception.  Old City Hall was a beautiful landscape for formals, and afterwards we had Meghan and Mike all to ourselves for some more intimate shots of just the two of them.  We made our way up and down School Street, popping in and out of cobblestoned side streets and public alleys rich with perfect texture.  And as people walking by cheered and congratulated the happy couple, we made our way back into the hotel to start celebrating.

The ballroom was perfect, with flowers provided by Judy’s Flowers in Foxboro and a cake created by Montilio’s.  As Entertainment Specialist’s Mike Amado helped us all dance the night away, we happily finished capturing the magic of the day.  We are so thrilled that we had the opportunity to work with Meghan, Mike and their friends and families.

Congratulations guys!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness! XO
